Waterloo: The Battle that Forged a Century
King’s College London is hosting a major international conference on the legacy of the Battle of Waterloo. Internationally recognised scholars will present papers discussing the battle and its impact on the nineteenth century and beyond.
Panels will consider the following subjects:
• The effect of Waterloo on Britain
• The effect of Waterloo on France, Prussia, Russia and Central Europe
• Waterloo and the conduct of war
• Waterloo and European society
• Waterloo and art, culture and education

The conference is being organised jointly by the Department of War Studies and Waterloo 200.
